Dr Liubov K. Sokolova is a distinguished Ukrainian endocrinologist and diabetologist with extensive experience in research and clinical practice. She serves as Head of the Department of Diabetology at the V.P. Komissarenko Institute of Endocrinology and Metabolism of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine.
She graduated from Bogomolets National Medical University in 1993 and has since progressed through roles from intern endocrinologist to chief of the diabetology department.
Dr Sokolova has authored over 80 scientific publications, holds 3 patents and 2 monographs, and co-authored the Ukrainian national guidelines on medical care for patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes.
