Since 1986, Professor Tronko has served as Director of the V.P. Komissarenko Institute of Endocrinology and Metabolism (NAS of Ukraine), where he led national programs on diabetes management, thyroid pathology, and iodine deficiency prevention. Under his leadership, national diabetes registries were created, and innovative diagnostic and therapeutic approaches were implemented across Ukraine.
His scientific record includes over 500 research papers, 37 monographs, 34 patents, and the supervision of 10 doctoral and 11 PhD theses.
Professor Tronko is an active member of international professional associations, including the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD), American Diabetes Association (ADA), and European Thyroid Association (ETA).
He has been recognized with the Order of Merit (I, II and III classes), the State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology, and numerous honors for his contribution to medical science and healthcare.
